We're off again

Well, two years after our first 'great walk' we are off again as a group.  This time there are 6 of us.  Five from our 2014 Wainwright Walk, Robbie, Suzie, Helen and Lois and a new friend, Di, from Hervey Bay.

Our preparation has not been as intensive this time, but at a group walk at O'Reilly's in July 2015, we decide that in 2016 would tackle the Dolomites in northern Italy and then the last leg of the Portuguese Camino from Tui to Santiago de Compostela.  Our training started in earnest!

Of course, we also took advantage of the great weather to renew our knowledge of the tracks in the area.

Another training walk had us go from O'Reilly's to Binna Burra - and back again!  I only managed a one way walk as I was still recovering from the surgical removal of a splinter from the sole of my foot!  This ensured that my training was slow to start in 2016, however we managed a couple of walks around Ship Stern in March and August.

So, preparation complete, packing done - thanks again to Robbie's definitive list of requirements - I headed off.  First stop London to catch up with Adrian, Abi, Reyvathi and Logan.
